Lead Sports Co. Partners With Gulf Swimming
Team Learning is Taking Off at the Lead Academy
Lead Sports Co. has partnered with Gulf Swimming LSC to bring the Lead Academy online courses to 500 swimmers across more than 60 teams in Texas. Lead’s Team Learning is a partnership that offers teams and sports organizations a platform for collaborative learning for female athletes. Through team or group licensing, athletes and coaches can gain access to a guided curriculum through courses in Confidence, Leadership, and Sport Psychology. Although all of the courses can be an individual journey, team learning creates a space for athletes and coaches to achieve the greatest impact as a group and put these lessons into action together.
“Gulf Swimming has always been on the forefront of innovation and athlete education,” said Lead Founder 3-time Olympian Kara Lynn Joyce. “Our partnership with Gulf is another excellent example of their leadership among LSCs. We look forward to educating, supporting, and serving their athletes for years to come.”
Gulf Swimming manages all USA Swimming sanctioned swim meets in southeastern Texas, with over 60 clubs to help swimmers across Houston and the surrounding areas. Gulf Swimming Executive Director Julie Bachman said of the new partnership, “The Lead Academy provides an amazing enrichment opportunity for Gulf Swimming's female athletes and their coaches. We have a responsibility to provide these kinds of opportunities to our membership and support our athletes' endeavors in and out of the pool by promoting education in leadership, confidence, and mental health strategies."
