Lead Sports Co. Welcomes Olympian Haylie McCleney as Lead Softball Co-Founder and Investor

Kara Lynn Joyce and Lead Sports Co. are proud to welcome 2020 Olympian Haylie McCleney to the team as Co-Founder of Lead Softball and investor in Lead Sports Co. The first annual Lead Summit for softball players will be held in San Diego, Oct 7-9, 2022.

Haylie is a 2020 Olympic silver medalist, two-time World Champion, and four-time NCAA All-American for the University of Alabama. She has a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology from Florida Atlantic University and is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Haylie’s love for softball grew out of playing sports, specifically baseball, in the backyard with her younger brothers in Alabama.

Haylie’s vision to bring the Lead Summit to softball comes from her deep passion to mentor the next generation of female softball players. The Lead Summit connects young female athletes with elite athletes and experts through an all-inclusive, 3-day event. Through these partnerships and connections, the Lead Summit empowers female student-athletes to equip themselves with the skills and confidence to be leaders as students, athletes, and members of the community.

I’m really excited to bring LEAD into softball because it is centered on developing the qualities that make us great human beings, not just great athletes. LEAD impacts young women in a profound way already and I’m really eager to get this into the softball community.
— Haylie McCleney, Co-Founder Lead Softball
We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Haylie to the Lead Team as a Co-Founder and Investor. It’s our goal to share our mission of empowering young women in sports with as many athletes as possible, and Haylie was the perfect partner to introduce Lead to the sport of softball. From her experience as a young player, all the way through her Olympic run, Haylie understands the importance of not just hard work on the field, but also the confidence and leadership skills to be a team member that impacts those around her.
— Kara Lynn Joyce, Lead Founder
